Connect+Funda was established in recognition of the fact that mobile connectivity and education should be inseparable in the modern world. In South Africa, where educational inequality remains a significant challenge, we recognised that traditional mobile network operators were not addressing the unique needs of the education sector. Students were struggling with expensive data costs, parents lacked visibility into their children's digital learning activities, and teachers needed better tools to support their students' connectivity needs.
Connect+Funda has thus emerged as South Africa's first student experience platform underpinned by connectivity. By partnering with established network infrastructure providers, e-learning partners, and other educational content platforms, we have created a unique ecosystem that combines affordable connectivity with educational value. Our platform goes beyond traditional mobile services by integrating gamified learning rewards, comprehensive parental controls, and zero-rated access to educational content. This holistic approach ensures that every rand spent on connectivity contributes directly to educational outcomes.
